Dairy Consultant

FDC Group is seeking an experienced Agricultural Consultant who specialises in Dairy production systems to join our agricultural consultancy team. This role will be in an advisory capacity with ability to conduct client discussion groups and implement their formation. The successful Candidate will need to be confident, ambitious and possess exemplary communication Skills. The candidate will be based in the West of Ireland and will support offices throughout the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and Business Consultancy services in the designated Client based regions.
• Be competent to work cohesively in a team context and provide motivation and support to fellow colleagues.
• Build strong and trusted relationships with our client base in a high standard professional Service.
• Create a work culture that encourages innovative ideas and solutions for our clients.
• Use initiative to form discussion group methods of knowledge transfer and take responsibility for its advancement.
• Experienced in the range of DAFM Scheme Applications and accountable for their work ethic.
• Resourceful and engaged with the latest technological advancement in the Irish Dairy Production Systems

Highly effective communicator and comfortable with public speaking, event management and conduction

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Passionate about the Irish Dairy Sector and aware of its challenges
• Ability to provide a high standard client consultancy service.
• Hold a relevant level 8 degree in Agricultural Science or equivalent with Soil science.
• FAS approved agent.
• Resident in Ireland
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Motivated to succeed and capable of using your own initiative.
• Own transport essential
• Represent FDC in a professional role and take responsibility for client advancement within a competitive Dairy Industry
