Data Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Cleanse, validate, and prepare data for migration into new business systems.
  • Review large data sets to identify inaccuracies, duplicates, missing information, and inconsistencies.
  • Update and maintain customer, supplier, product, and financial information in line with defined standards.
  • Perform data entry and data administration activities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to analyse, compare, and validate large datasets.
  • Apply business rules consistently when processing and updating data.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and verify the accuracy of completed work.
  • Escalate data issues, anomalies, or discrepancies when identified.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure data is prepared and migrated successfully.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails relating to data updates and migration activities.
  • Support testing and validation activities during system implementation phases.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain focused and productive while working on repetitive or high-volume tasks.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using: Filters, Sorting & VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
  • Basic formulas and functions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and consistently while following defined processes.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify data that appears incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage workload independently.
