As a Data Analytics Manager you will transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements across the Bank. Your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that provide real-time insights into customer behaviours, market trends, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with various departments to understand their data analysis needs and deliver BI tools and dashboards that meet those requirements.
This role will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting data to inform the product vision and roadmap for analytics products. You will be responsible for creating compelling and informative visual representations of data that enable stakeholders to grasp complex information quickly and make informed decisions. Your role is to design and develop intuitive dashboards, reports, and graphics that tell a story with data, highlighting key trends, patterns, and insights that are critical to the bank's operations and strategy. You will support scalable insight delivery by enabling business users through self-service analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the design, development, and maintenance of analytics insights and BI solutions, including visualisations, data models, reports, and dashboards for proof of value and industrialisation to represent complex data sets.
- Deliver Enterprise BI Dashboards, performance scorecards, metric standardisation, version control and standardisation.
- Lead the end-to-end Analytics BI lifecycle and implement appropriate delivery methodologies and controls.
- Drive collaboration with business analysts and end user groups in business units to understand their data visualisation needs and objectives, offering best practice application advice and alternative recommendations for the best outcome.
- Collaborate with other data teams within the CDAO to ensure data accuracy and integrity in visualisations, showing leadership in these interactions to ensure the best outcome.
- Formulate and implement BI governance, visualisation standards and best practices within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience both as a people leader and as a Data Analyst / BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Extensive experience with data visualisation, reporting, business intelligence, UI/UX design, KPI metric definition, UAT, and data manipulation.
- Extensive experience of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight, SAS Viya)
- Excellent knowledge and experience of SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of process automation and continuous improvement using data and BI solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data in an intuitive format to senior leaders within an organisation.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
This is a Permanent role based in Dublin or Cork
