Summary of role:
The Financial Crime Data and Analytics team is responsible for supporting the Financial crime function by analysing operations and risk management system data to develop appropriate and dynamic reports and dashboards to support risk controls and KPIs.
To support the ongoing activity of the team, we are seeking a Data and MI Insights Lead to oversee the broad range of analysis and output undertaken by the team. The role will lead and support the team deliver intelligent, innovative, and insightful MI and dashboards to inform decisions, realise measurable business benefit and meet regulatory deadlines and requirements.
Key accountabilities/responsibilities are as follows:
As part of the management team in Financial Crime Systems & Intelligence, you will
- Lead a team of data analysts, data scientists, and quality assurance (QA) analysts in the Financial Crime MI, Insights, and Intelligence team
- Develop and maintain robust management information (MI) and reporting processes to provide actionable insights on financial crime trends
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and ensure timely delivery of accurate MI reports
- Oversee code review and development of dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate financial crime intelligence effectively
- Implement QA processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data analytics and reporting outputs
What You Will Bring ;
- Proven track record of managing a team of data analysts, data scientists, and QA analysts to deliver high-quality MI and reporting solutions
- Hands-on experience and proficiency in ETL, data manipulation, visualization, and reporting tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau/Power BI
- Experience in implementing QA processes and methodologies within a data analytics environment
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
