Data Manager Transplant
Purpose of the Role
Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital and the leading centre in Ireland for the conduct of clinical trials and studies in children and young adults. CHI at Crumlin is the national centre for childhood cancer in Ireland and incorporates the National Centre for Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy. Bone marrow transplant is used to treat a wide variety of conditions including bone marrow failure syndromes, cancers, immunodeficiencies, metabolic disorders and haemoglobinopathies. The Service delivers over 30 transplant annually with activity rising year on year and through the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) has integrated clinical trials into clinical care to ensure that patients have access to the best international treatments.
Following appropriate training and working as part of the Transplant Team and the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit, the post holder will ensure that reporting and research requirements for the Transplant Service are met.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc in clinical or life science related subject or equivalent third level qualification.
- Previous relevant experience working in a research role and/or clinical environment
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and of relevant national and international clinical trial regulations.
- Working knowledge of Clinical Trial Protocols.
