The Role:
The Group Privacy Office (GPO) within the Data & Analytics department is responsible creating and implementing data protection practices in a consistent, compliant, controlled and adequate risk-minded manner across the group. This is achieved through the delivery of our core priorities:
- Advisory function to 1st Line on implementing Data Protection Policies and Standards
- Point of contact for business owners to interpret Data Protection policies and standards in terms of processing of personal data
- Provide expert guidance on technical topics such as data subject rights, fair & lawful processing, data protection risk/impact assessments and privacy by design and by default.
We are looking for someone, who can:
- Build collaborative relationships with partner functions and internal & external stakeholders to embed robust data protection and privacy practices within the group.
- Provide support and guidance to business areas on data protection related queries & documentation.
- Assess change initiatives embarked on within the group to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Proactively contribute to the embedding of GDPR in AIB Group.
- Ensure adherence to agreed methodologies, governance and best practice and provide certainty of delivery to sponsors and senior stakeholders.
You’ll need to show us you can/have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating in a Data Protection / Compliance role an advantage
- High level of understanding of all GDPR requirements an advantage
- Strong ability to identify risk and complete tasks independently
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Hold a relevant qualification is an advantage, but not essential.
