Job Title: Day Service Support Worker - Team Leader
Permanent Position

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9:00 am -17:00 pm
Location: Ransboro, Sligo
We are currently seeking applications from those interested in leading a team within our Day Service.
The ideal candidate will support individuals to live their best lives while leading the team to achieve the day service goals and promoting independence and integration within the community. This is an enjoyable and rewarding leadership role as you lead a team which promotes it's service users to be involved in various activities (i.e., gardening, arts/crafts and many more activities) on-site at the day service and assist them with activities and day trips in the community.
Person Specification:
- Qualification in relevant discipline (e.g.: social care, health, community care sector) level 7 minimum.
- Understanding of the New Directions model
- Successful applicants should have the ability to develop and maintain support /care plans and provide required support and care to clients on an individual person-centred basis. Building communication channels between the team and manager.
- Minimum 3 years team leadership experience.
- Have a full driving license and be willing to drive company vehicles
- Have a genuine passion for working with service users with intellectual disabilities
- Excellent Communication skills; leading and participate in staff meetings.
- Strong values and person-centered approach
- Proactive in your care and enjoy a fun loving ethos with activities in the community.
- Flexible and willing to work shifts to meet the needs of the service
- Must be enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and proactive
- Ensuring regular communication with MDT and families of service users.
- Setting team goals, completing service audits, evaluating team members, inducting new staff, completing performance reviews and managing budgets.
- Manage day service support workers and help them in their daily duties; allocate and supervise tasks; provide guidance, leadership and training where required.
