Team Leader Days - Kirk House
Location: Kirk House, 110 King’s Road, Belfast BT5 7BX

Salary: £19,044.272 - £20,493.616 (SP 24-26)
Contract: Permanent 
Work hours: 26 hours per week – 2 x 13-hour shifts.
Shift times: 7am – 8pm 
Rota covers a 7 day period

Kirk House is “Housing with Care” facility in which independence, freedom of choice, self-esteem and dignity are respected and promoted. Residents are supported to maintain links with their family and local community; and the level of care each receives is tailored to meet their individual needs. Kirk House is situated in landscaped grounds, it comprises of 42 individual flatlets, four of which are designed for couples and two flats are accessible for residents with physical disabilities. One wing provides safe and supportive accommodation for nine residents with dementia, providing a researched approach to dementia design with a homely feel to make residents more comfortable, independent and reduce confusion

Your new role 
You'll support the management team with daily operations, managing and mentoring staff, and the provision of individual care to residents. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and act as a liaison between staff, residents, and families, addressing concerns and facilitating effective communication.You'll be responsible for ensuring high quality care is being delivered whilst monitoring resource allocation, schedules, and upholding the care home's standards and policies. In the absence of the management team, the team leader will act as the responsible person on shift.

What we need from you
  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience caring for older people in a residential or community setting
