Daycare at Home Worker

The ASI is currently recruiting a Care Worker who will work in our assigned family homes in Ballynanty, Farranshone, Moyross, Thomandgate, Caherdavin, North Circular Road areas and the surrounding area.

This is a permanent contract of employment working 15 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care to people with dementia in the client’s own home. You will need good communication and organizational skills and be able to work on your own initiative.

To be successful in this position it is essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activities with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities.

Candidates in this area must have a full clean driving license and access to a car to be considered for this role.

A FETAC level 5 is desirable. Confidence in using IT/Email is also desirable.

We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on relevant experience.

The role holder must strictly adhere to all National Guidelines laid out in QPSD guidance and be always COVID aware. Training in PPE / Infection Control and other relevant areas will be provided by The ASI prior to the role holder entering a client’s home.
