Democratic Services Officer

Ards & North Borough CouncilThe Castle, Bangor, DownScale 6, SCP 20 - 23, £31,586 - £33,366 per annumFull-timePermanent
To act as Committee Clerk for meetings of the Council and its Committees and to disseminate Council decisions internally and externally. To undertake administrative support to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Members and Council as a whole, and in the organisation and arrangement of civic and ceremonial events.

Please note
  • This is a permanent, full time post, working 36 hours per week.
  • The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. However, the post involves regular evening and occasional weekend work as part of the normal working hours and Mayoral duties, meetings of Council and its committees can continue until 11.00 pm or later.
  • A reserve list may be kept from this recruitment exercise.
  • Testing may form part of the shortlisting process.
