Deputy Master

Are you a Deputy Master looking for a great work-life balance with excellent career advancement opportunities? Stena Line International Pte Limited is hiring a Deputy Master with passenger vessel experience to join our team!

In this role, you will lead and support our deck teams onboard while developing your skills and knowledge on different vessels. This role has no set location; you will have the opportunity to work on a number of our Irish Sea vessels.

Some of your key responsibilities:

The Master has the overall responsibility and ultimate authority to ensure the safety of the vessel, crew and cargo, and the protection of the Environment. In this rank, you will safeguard the interests of the Company to the fullest extent of their authority.

The Master is accountable for the everyday management and running of the vessel. They are the Company’s onboard representative and are responsible for implementing the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policy and ensuring compliance with the Company Safety Management System.

Qualifications

Valid STCW training and medical certificates

Master’s Unlimited CoC

Proven ship handling and command experience on ferries

Current PECs for ports throughout the Irish Sea are preferable but not essential
