We are seeking an experienced childcare professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering exceptional early years care? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our award-winning team at Clearly Kids Newtownards Road.
Working closely alongside the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the nursery, helping to create a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can thrive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills while making a positive impact on children, families and colleagues.
Working Hours
-36 hours per week
-Worked across 4 days, providing an excellent work-life balance
-Be available for occassional overtime
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the effective operation of the nursery by:
-Assisting with the day-to-day management of the nursery and leading the team in delivering outstanding childcare.
-Planning and managing staff rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
-Building positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.
-Supporting the implementation and maintenance of high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
-Mentoring, motivating and developing staff to achieve their full potential.
-Deputising for the Nursery Manager during periods of absence, ensuring the smooth running of the nursery.
Essential Criteria
-Hold, or be working towards, a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development and/or a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
-Significant experience working within an early years or childcare setting.
-Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
-Strong people management and leadership skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and external agencies.
-A commitment to providing the highest standards of childcare and creating positive outcomes for every child.
*Must be over 18 at the time of application
