Design Technician

We are a leading lighting consultancy practice, based outside Gorey. We specialise in the design of lighting and associated infrastructure. We want to recruit a design technician. While knowledge of lighting technology would be welcome, it is not essential as appropriate training will be provided. After training, the successful applicant will assist in the design process. This role will suit a person with experience in an engineering or other technical field. The candidate will be educated to at least NFQ level 6 in a related technical discipline.

This is a Part Time Permanent Position

• Good visual and spatial awareness combined with well-developed technical and creative abilities. Eye for detail combined with problem solving skills to develop project specific solutions.
• Expert working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting package. Ability to work with architectural, engineering and building services drawings.
• Proficient use and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Excellent attention to detail and working to high level of accuracy. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Full, clean Irish driving licence and own transport essential.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
