Purpose and Function of Post
Location: Cookstown (2 days per week) and Pomeroy (3 days per week) - may be required to work across the Mid Ulster District Council area.
The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12months. “Another similar vacancy” is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Another similar vacancy does not include posts where the similarity relates solely to the salary scale.
- Responsible for the development and delivery of assigned projects and to take a key role in the obtainment and management of funding for programmes and projects including development of action plans and programmes and projects. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders, from both a statutory capacity and community groups to ensure integrated delivery of development projects and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and advice to the community sector on a range of development areas from community grants, funding, local community and village planning, good relations and capacity building.
- Support in the development, implementation and delivery of the Development Service Plan through overseeing a range of projects, support, and advice in line with Council’s strategic aims and objectives.
