The Mater Hospital is the National Centre for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMD) for Adults, and to comply with the HSE Service plan will be the centre managing

• Those reaching adulthood and moving from paediatric IMD services
• Those newly identified IMD adults and
• Those who wish to re engage with the IMD service;
• Those living with diet treated IMD who require specialised dietetic support as part of their medical management.
