Community Dietetic Service Donegal Sligo Leitrim West Cavan

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is currently made up of a team of 37 Dietitians and a Dietitian Manager. We have Dietitians working in Primary Care, Older Persons Service, Mental Health (Eating Disorders) and Children’s Disability Services. We are an enthusiastic and forward thinking team who love to get involved in initiatives that enhance care for our service users and support professional development within the team.

· Dietitians in Primary Care provide a combination of 1 to 1 clinics and group education via face to face and virtual platforms. We have Dietitians supporting adults and paediatrics in the primary care setting.

· Dietitians in Mental Health work in eating disorders within Child and Adolescent Service (CAMHS) or Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS).

· Our Older Persons Dietitians work as part of the Integrated Care Programme for Older Persons (ICPOP) or Memory Assessment Service (MASS) teams.

· Dietitians in Disability work as part of Children Disability Network teams (CDNT)

· We provide students placements to both undergraduate and post graduate dietetic programmes.
