What is the Role:

As a Digital Content Developer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering on the organisation’s digital engagement strategy. Over the past number of years, our digital communication landscape has expanded significantly—introducing new channels and capabilities that enable deeper, more personalised customer interactions.

This role is central to the design, development, and optimisation of dynamic, data-driven content across a growing suite of digital platforms. You will work closely with campaign managers, analysts, and product owners to ensure that content is not only responsive and accessible, but also strategically aligned with our enhanced personalisation goals and seamlessly integrated into our evolving digital offering.

You will be expected to apply professional judgement to complex content architecture, interpret campaign and regulatory requirements, and make commercially sound recommendations that support business outcomes.

Key accountabilities;

  • Lead the development and governance of HTML-based content across a broadening range of digital channels including email, SMS, push notifications, and emerging engagement platforms.
  • Architect and optimise dynamic content modules using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), ensuring scalable, personalised, and contextually relevant customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with analysts, campaign developers, and data teams to deliver innovative, data-driven experiences that reflect our strategic focus on personalisation.
  • Interpret campaign, product, and compliance requirements to deliver content solutions that meet business objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present complex content strategies and performance insights to senior stakeholders, making recommendations for optimisation and innovation.
  • Oversee testing, QA, and deployment workflows, ensuring high-quality execution and continuous improvement through feedback and analytics.
  • Contribute to the evolution of content governance frameworks and digital engagement policies to support the integration of personalisation into our new digital offering.

What you Will Bring ;

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Photoshop is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience working with an Email Service Provider to deploy email campaigns and other digital engagement.
  • Experience in deploying and analysing emails with a strong understanding of email health and performance metrics beyond open and click rates (e.g. deliverability, inbox placement, open reach).
  • Proven ability to develop dynamic, data-driven content experiences.
  • A passion for clean, maintainable code and a strong eye for detail.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment or with product-led content is a plus.
