The salary scale for this role is €51,349 - €70,450; with Long Service increments of LSI1: €72,982 and LSI2: €75,511.

Purpose

In this role, you will build expertise in the global food manufacturing channel, contributing to the continued growth of Irish product supply with high quality and sustainability credentials, to global manufacturing customers ie those with a multi-country footprint.

To support the development and implementation of Bord Bia’s client support services and activities appropriate to the global manufacturing channel.

What you’ll do

  • Consistently monitor key players in the global food manufacturing channel, to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of their corporate objectives, business strategy, sustainability goals, and sourcing needs and criteria.

  • Identify, map and develop a strong knowledge of emerging or lesser-known global manufacturing players, particularly those with stated sustainable sourcing goals.

  • Be the global manufacturing channel insights expert, generating and disseminating relevant and timely information to Irish client companies, and sharing knowledge with colleagues in line with best practice set out by Bord Bia Thinking House.

  • Under the guidance of the Global Relationship Manager, manage the relationship with key global manufacturing customers, focusing on Bord Bia expertise in sustainability, product sector knowledge, consumer insight and talent.

  • Create key customer plans for signoff off by the Global Relationship Manager, strongly leveraging Bord Bia and the Irish industry’s sustainability credentials, according to the Bord Bia customer engagement process.

  • Populate and maintain up-to-date customer account records on Salesforce (Bord Bia’s CRM platform).

  • Execute the delivery of client services relevant to the global manufacturing channel e.g. facilitating introductions, co-ordinating sustainability team engagements.

  • Effectively manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia processes and policies, and adhere to the One Bord Bia operating model.

  • About You

    Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

    Knowledge:

    • 3+ years working knowledge of the Irish Food, Drink & Horticulture industry

    • Generation and distilling market insights.

    Skills & Capabilities:

    • Digital first mindset

    • Comfortable with an agile culture focused on continuous improvement.

    • Business Development and Key Customer Management.

    • Relationship Management, professional relationships with suppliers, trade customers, media & government

    • Marketing and International Marketing

    • Professional implementation of high profile events or projects.

    • Fluent written and spoken English.

    • Communication, presentation and report writing skills

    • Proficient business use of the full Microsoft Office suite

    Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

    Knowledge:

    • Operating professionally in different cultures.

    Skills & Capabilities:

    • Influencing and negotiating skills.

    • Experience in the use of Salesforce or equivalent CRM

    • Video conferencing systems.
