The role of the Digital Research and UX Specialist is to lead activities which examine and define business processes, research and analyse user needs, and focus on design and creativity to constantly bring the latest web, mobile and desktop design trends and embed them in PSTB. Through data driven decision making the role will supporting projects from conception through to implementation, from creating personas, user journey and flows, writing and refining user stories, and the production of user ready content. The role will create engaging and interactive experiences for customers. It will apply modern and cutting edge user interface design principles to help solved business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Apply conceptual thinking to Crete best in class digital services across our digital platforms, smartly creating user needs, business goals, and technical realities with our user data.
- Develop sound UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, and the creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flows and use cases (whats the difference between a product owner and designer for this point??)
- Define the user interface design through information architecture, wireframes and user flows and influence it through usability testing
- Create lightweight specifications and style guides to supplement prototypes.
- Work directly with our customer channels (E.g. Distribution, Open 24) to design end to end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing and other forms of qualitative research to uncover insights, learn about users behaviours and verify design concepts.
- Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Experience Design, Business or equivalent desirable
- Minimum 3 years of UX or Digital customer research experience.
- Experience in designing, running and compiling user testing.
This is a permanent position in Dublin (Hybrid).
