Director Of Active And Healthy Communities / Place Prosperity

As a senior leader within the Council and a member of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), the postholders will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and collaborative leadership across a portfolio of key services. They will provide a critical role in supporting the Council’s vision, delivering organisational priorities and enabling high-performance, citizen focused services.

The Postholders will provide strategic leadership and oversight of functional areas, delegating responsibilities to relevant Heads of Service to ensure the development of policy, the efficient and effective delivery of services, and the optimal use of financial and other resources. They will ensure all activities are aligned with, and contribute to, the successful delivery of the objectives set out in the Council’s Corporate Plan and Community Plan (Big Plan).
