This office will liaise with the Director of Major Capital Development to review projects and operate as a capital programme function. The Estates & Facilities team will generally deal with capital projects less than of ten million euro. However, the thresholds may be adjusted to suit projects and MMUH needs and requirements. Should there be a dispute on this, the CEO’s office will decide the most suitable avenue and this financial cut of point will be reviewed annually by the CEO’s office to ensure it remains appropriate.

Purpose of Role

The Director of Estates & Facilities will lead the strategic planning, delivery, and management of the Mater Hospital’s estate and facilities functions, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment that supports exceptional patient care.

This role is central to ensuring the Mater Hospital operates within a safe, efficient, and future-focused estate, directly supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and organisational growth.
