Director Of Ground Operations

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Director of Ground Operations to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group.

The Director of Ground Operations is an important role within the company and is responsible for all Airport & Ground handling operations around Ryanair’s network, which include Self Handling and 3rd Party Handling.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this person will be responsible for ensuring our industry leading safety record and on time performance is maintained and improved carried out by our internal Ground Operations team of over 5,000 employed staff and relationships with 3rd Party Handling Agencies to deliver the most efficient airline operations in Europe. Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing the regulatory & compliance for:

· Ground Operations organisation across 95 European bases and over 230 airports

· Maintaining Ryanair’s industry leading punctuality

· Negotiating and concluding Ryanair ground handling contracts

· Ensuring Ryanair’s continued excellent safety record

· Drive the use of technology as to build airports of the future

· Ensuring the people resources and facilities are in place to allow the airline grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m

passengers over the coming decade

Requirements

The Person

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills

· Proven track record as a senior manager in an operations function

· Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
