Director of Human Resources (DoHR)
Purpose of the Role:
This is a very exciting time to join CHI. We are looking for a strategic thinker who is an integral part of championing our culture, values and driving our strategy as we move to our new site. You will be working in partnership with, and as a member of, the Executive Management Team.
The post-holder will lead the HR business function and daily operations, ensuring it is fit for purpose, providing an excellent, proactive, efficient service to stakeholders across all aspects of the Human Resources and Organisational Development agenda. The post-holder will role-model CHI’s values and drive a culture of compassion, inclusion and civility in all the practices of the HR function.
You will be responsible for managing our overall HR function and will have direct responsibility for leading and managing our HR team whilst delivering on the strategic change programme for HR.
Working with the DP&C, you will define and deliver a People Strategy to support our culture and performance across the organisation. Thus, ensuring that the organisation has the resources, capability (both leadership and functional) and structures to enable it to effectively deliver agreed levels of performance.
Essential Criteria:
· A minimum level 8 NFQ (or international equivalent) qualification in Human Resources or other related discipline.
· Minimum of 10 years’ post graduate Human Resource experience, at an executive level in a large healthcare setting.
· Minimum of 7 Years’ executive management experience, in a large organisation. The role holder will be attuned to the demands of regulation and of public scrutiny and will bring a demonstrable track record of high-level achievement in Human Resources, against challenging performance targets.
Personal skillset for the role:
· Experienced executive leader with a track record of successful management at a significant scale, across multi-site operations/networks.
· Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, change-management and influencing skills.
· A proven track record of success in leading major change, delivering on strategy, and meeting Service Level Agreements while staying within budget.
· Experience serving as an advisor to the Chief Executive and executive team
· A passion for modern healthcare, the delivery of high-quality care, and providing a positive workplace for staff and in keeping with CHI’s values of child-centered, compassionate and progressive care.
· Exceptional leadership and relationship building and interpersonal skills, to orchestrate multiple complex activities, create engagement and deliver results. Ability to provide strategic and professional leadership to multi-disciplinary staff groups.
· Be a master collaborator, able to bring key people and stakeholders with them in a strong culture of clinician-led care delivery and child-centered care.
· Proven capacity to deliver business and clinical People & Culture programmes, with outstanding analytical skills to identify trends and create new strategic and operational insights.
· Highly developed executive level critical thinking, judgement and experience in contributing to strategy design execution and review as a member of the senior executive team.
· Deep financial skills and commercial acumen are essential as is a passion about healthcare and
· Possesses the requisite knowledge, skills and attributes to manage a complex area including an ability and capacity to discharge the administrative functions of the post.

This update to our Onboarding process is aligned to changes in our monthly/fortnightly payroll and with the launch of our new corporate induction program. This process enhancement ensures that we can thoroughly prepare for your arrival and facilitate a smooth transition in your onboarding journey.
So that the Onboarding team can confirm your start date, you will need to ensure that your mandatory training is completed at least 7 days prior to your commencement date.
It is important for you to note that if you do not have your pre-employments and mandatory training completed in time, your commencement date will be deferred to the next available date.
