Permanent vacancies currently exist within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
District Electoral Area (DEA) Officer (x2)
37 hours per week
Scale PO1, SCP 29-32, currently £39,862 - £42,839 per annum.
Location: Larne
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Work as part of a team responsible for the implementation of “Putting People First”, Mid and East Antrim’s Community Plan, delivered through a District Electoral Area (DEA) approach. The role will include input into delivery relating to the following service areas:
To work in a team of seven DEA colleagues to facilitate an integrated and multi-agency approach to community planning on areas such as:
The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide sufficient relevant information including dates in this section of the form for each criteria.

- Sustainable jobs and developing our tourism potential
- Good health and wellbeing
- Progress in education and improving aspirations for all
- Improving community safety and cohesion
- Our environment
