Job Summary
The postholder will be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the relevant legislation under the Dogs Order(NI) 1983, the Dangerous Dogs (Northern Ireland) Order 1991, Welfare of Animals NI Act 2011, The Litter Order(NI) 1994, The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act(NI) 2011, The Street Trading Act(NI) 2001, and other relevant Council Bye-Laws and relevant legislation in so far as it relates to the post. Support the Enforcement of other legislation across the Licensing and Enforcement section.
Hours of work
14.4 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
This post is fixed term until 31 May 2028.
Work Pattern
Monday 9.00am – 5.12pm (7.2 hours)
Tuesday 9.00am – 5.12pm (7.2 hours)
Salary
Scale 6, spinal point 20-24, currently £32,597 - £35,412 per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked). Plus 19% employer pension contribution. Standby allowance and call out payments are to be paid in line with agreed terms.
