There is currently one permanent whole-time vacancy available in IHA Midlands, covering Longford / Westmeath and Laois / Offaly. Base to be confirmed within Laois/Offaly/Longford/Westmeath.

Purpose of the post

The Operational Team Manager holds the operational governance for the team and will operationally lead the interdisciplinary team who will provide a specialist Neuro-Rehabilitation service. The Operational Team Manager is the accountable and responsible person for ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, coordinated, Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team services to the population. This will be provided in accordance with legislative and service delivery frameworks and requirements, within the resources allocated.

Using an inter-disciplinary team based model of service delivery, the Operational Team Manager will have full responsibility and accountability for managing specified staff within the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team. They will provide day to day operational line management for these staff, working collaboratively with the Heads of Discipline who will provide clinical governance and assurance regarding professional practice, quality and standards and will have a line of clinical supervision regarding the practice of each HSE professional within the team.

The Operational Team Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, co-ordinating and evaluating the service to meet the needs of the service user and the objectives of the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team. As this team is part of the Managed Clinical Rehabilitation Network Project, the Operational Team Manager will have a significant role to play with respect to evaluation of the service as part of the MCRN
