Details of Service

HSE Dental Service provides oral health care, emergency and routine dental services to the eligible population of children under 16 years and adults with special needs. These services include emergency and routine dental care, oral health promotion, dental care to special needs groups, and public dental health services.

The successful candidate appointed to this this post, will be working as part of multi-disciplinary team.

The team / governance structure includes the Principal Dental Surgeon, Senior Dental Surgeon Administrative, Senior Dental Surgeon, General Dental Surgeon, Senior Dental Hygienist, and Dental Hygienist, Senior Dental Nurse, Dental Nurse and clerical staff.

Future developments for the service will include enhanced care for Special Needs Groups and further developing Oral Health Promotion.

Location of Post

Dental Service in Dublin South, Kildare and West Wicklow and Dental Service in Dublin West, Dublin South Central.

Current vacancies:

- One permanent whole-time vacancy available for the Dublin South West, Kildare West Wicklow Dental Area- initially based in Naas,

- One permanent whole-time vacancy available for the Dublin West, Dublin South Central Dental Area- initially based in the Meath Campus, Dublin 2.
