The HSE has a blended working policy, and the Regional Director of Finance will consider flexibility around location, subject to regular availability for regional and national meetings as the role demands.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for General Manager Finance from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the post

To ensure that the Head of Finance/designated Senior Manager has access to expert financial advice and decision support in relation to the delivery of safe health and social care services within the funding available.

To play a key analytical role in co-ordinating efforts to assess, establish, monitor, and continuously improve the system of internal financial controls within the Region.

To support the Head of Finance and designated Senior Manager in providing high quality analysis in order to safely reduce costs and secure appropriate additional investment in services, including by linking inputs to outputs/outcomes and demonstrating value for money.
