Location of Post:

The post will be geographically located within Health RegionDublin & Midlands.

The post reports to the Regional HSCP Integration & Development Lead forming a hub and spoke structure with the National Health and Social Care Professions (HSCP) Office, in the Chief Clinical Officer function.

There is currently one permanent whole time Health & Social Care Professions Regional Practice Education Co-ordinator role available.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Health & Social Care Professions Regional Practice Education Co-ordinator from which current and future whole-time permanent vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of Post :

The post holder will support an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to clinical placement at local level with a view to increasing capacity and quality of clinical placements across acute and community settings.

The post holder will link closely with the HSE, National HSCP Office to contribute to, and inform development of national initiatives to support practice education and also to test and implement new approaches, models and frameworks.

The HSCP Practice Education Co-ordinator will be facilitated to work closely with equivalent posts in the other Health Regions to optimise efficiency and effectiveness by sharing knowledge, skills, tasks and roles and collaborating closely.
