Purpose of the post

· To provide leadership, management and direct input with regard to the delivery of a mental health social work service, including therapy to children and adolescents (and their families) who present with moderate to severe mental health issues that require the input of a specialist multidisciplinary mental health team.

· To provide liaison in respect of interagency working

· To provide line management, supervision and consultation to staff as required

· The post holder will lead and be responsible for the effective delivery of a quality social work service for a defined functional area

· To input into IHA Midlands projects directly related to the development, reconfiguration, improvement of mental health services

To work a part of the IHA Midlands Integrated Services Management Team.
