Details of Service
The Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT’s) provide support to children and young people who have complex needs arising from a disability. CDNT’s work according to an interdisciplinary model of support underpinned by Family Centred Practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Children’s Disability Services. Teams are flexible and dynamic and use evidence-based practice to ensure best outcomes for children, young people and their families. The team work across clinic, school, home and community settings. Teams offer a variety of supports including universal supports, targeted supports and individual supports.
The role involves specialist assessment, intervention and support for children and young people with complex communication and feeding needs. The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will work in line with team service plans and objectives and within established professional standards, guidelines and policies.
The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will take a leadership role within the team, contributing to service development, supervision and training while collaboratively working with families and the team.
Teams include Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Social Workers. Some teams may include additional Health and Social Care Professionals i.e., Dieticians. Liaison Nurse
