Purpose of the Post:

The Porter will support the Portering team under the Operations Department and designated manager in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the hospital. S/he will support the hospital clinical staff in the provision of the necessary services and functions to enhance patient and residents’ care and experience in the hospital and work collaboratively to ensure best practice.

S/he will support the provision of a high quality, clean and person centred service including attending to housekeeping, catering, laundry, reception, security, postal duties and assisting healthcare staff in the movement and transfer of patients/residents and other general duties as assigned.

S/he will be required to drive change initiatives with the support of Senior Management in areas where services and system need change and improvement.
