Domestic Assistant

Location: Bray

Hours: Part-Time, 52 per month (2 days pw 10am -4pm)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: HSE Scale 6415

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our team in Bray, Co. Wicklow. This post consists of 2 days a week during Monday to Friday, working alongside clients and staff in a day and residential service that provides support to enable service users experience and participate in the life of the community

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning Duties will include cleaning and hoovering of all areas. Dusting and cleaning of all fixtures and fittings daily. Safe upkeep and storage of all cleaning materials and cleaning equipment.
• To facilitate and implement a person-cantered approach for our clients appropriate to their wishes and goals.
• To promote and protect the rights of people in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy.

Requirements:

• Experience of working as a Domestic Assistant in a group home or similar setting

• To actively seek new interests and opportunities for people to develop meaningful roles in their communities
• To ensure the overall wellbeing of clients in all areas of their lives including health and personal care
• To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence
