Driver
Role: Part Time Driver
Location: Dublin – Slane
Hours: 25 per week
Contract Type: 1 Year
Pay: €13.50 per hour
Position Summary:
The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers, primarily children or individuals with special needs, during transportation to and from their homes and ChildVision.

Safety and Security:
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is clean and safe.
· Ensure all passengers are properly seated and secured before the bus departs.
· Assist with emergency evacuations and drills, following established procedures.
· Be aware of first aid procedures, and be able to perform them if needed.
Communication and Assistance:
· Communicate effectively with passengers, parents/guardians, and school/facility staff.
· Provide clear and concise instructions to passengers.
· Assist passengers with personal items and belongings.
· Maintain accurate records of passenger attendance and any incidents that occur.
· Maintain professional and courteous communication with all parties.
Route and Schedule Adherence:
· Be familiar with the designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
· Alert the driver to any potential hazards on the route.
Maintaining a Positive Environment:
· Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all passengers.
· Encourage positive interactions and respectful behaviour.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Essential Criteria:
- Full clean Driving liscence

Probation:
A probationary period of 6 months applies, wherein three probationary meetings will take place to review your performance and suitability for appointment. The probationary period may be extended or terminated for any reason at ChildVision’s discretion.
Annual leave:
Annual leave entitlement is 8% of total hours worked
Pension Scheme:
ChildVision operates a contributory pension scheme, which all employees may join.
Garda Clearance/ Police Clearance:
These will be required for all prospective employees who will undertake relevant work or activities relating to children or vulnerable persons. This will include any state outside of Ireland where the candidate has resided for a period of 6 months or more.
Pay:
€13.50 per hour
Sick Pay:
All periods of sickness exceeding 3 days must be medically certified. Weekly medical certificates are required thereafter. The Company reserves the right to have you examined by an occupation healthcare assessor.
