Driver / technical Installer - working 4 days on 4 days off on rolling rotation.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Driver Technical Installer. The Driver Technical Installer will be responsible for safely transporting mattresses, and product lines to various hospitals, healthcare facilities, residential settings, and non-acute medical settings, ensuring timely and accurate delivery and installation.

This role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various installation tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Transportation:

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, to transport product lines to hospitals according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Adhere to traffic laws andmaintain a clean driving record.
  • Load and unload mattresses onto the vehicle using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safe handling and prevent damage.
  • Verify delivery instructions, addresses, and contact information for recipients prior to departure.
  • Drive defensively and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of oneself, passengers, and other road users.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards before and after each shift. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.

2. Installations:

  • Install products or equipment at customer locations according to provided instructions.
  • Installations are expected for all deliveries unless specifically advised otherwise.
  • Ensure proper setup, functionality, and completion of installations.
  • Obtain proof of delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, and any incidents or discrepancies encountered through appropriate channels, namely using the PDAs provided and escalate any issues to line management in a timely manner.

3. Customer Interaction:

  • Provide excellent customer service by handling deliveries professionally, addressing customer inquiries or concerns courteously, and representing the company in a positive manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and patience during product delivery and installation.

4. Other:

  • Assist with other warehouse or delivery tasks as needed, including inventory management, order picking, and packaging.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or similar role preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate and manoeuvre large vehicles / vans in urban and suburban environments.
  • Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS devices or navigation apps.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, and manoeuvre stock repeatedly.
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure accurate deliveries and paperwork.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and customers professionally.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings, as required by delivery schedules.

  • Working Conditions:

    Benefits and Pay:

    • Basic Annual salary €35,000 + €15 tax free subsistence / food allowance per working day
    • Capacity to earn overtime for additional shifts.
