A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
Driver with Labouring Duties up to 3.5t
37 hours per week
Scale 4 and in the range SCP 9-13 (Currently £26,409 - £28,163)
Location – Larne
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Complete duties relating to driving and being responsible for a vehicle, equipment, crew etc. completing duties as part of a set work schedule for waste collection, cleansing and recycling.
- Work individually or as part of a team to complete a range of duties including operating and being responsible for allocated equipment, working in co-operation with other crew members.
- Take responsibility for the safety, supervision and transportation of the crew, ensuring crew members comply with operational procedures whilst carrying out their duties and dealing with queries from members of the public or referring to the postholder’s line manager as appropriate.
- Completion of daily/weekly work schedules in relation to allocated duties.
