Job Summary
Working within the Sustainability and Environmental/Refuse and Cleansing Service, the postholder will be required to provide, in a safe and effective manner, a quality and efficient Street Cleansing Service, in all weather conditions. The postholder, as a team leader will be required to interact with members of the public and deal with enquiries in an appropriate manner using their own initiative to ensure the service is provided within the area of responsibility of the postholder.
Salary Scales
Driver Category C: Scale 4, NJC spinal point 9-13, £27,254- £29,064* per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked) (plus 15.5% employer pension contribution**).
Driver Category C1: Scale 3, NJC spinal point 7-8, £26,403- £26,824* per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked) (plus 15.5% employer pension contribution**).
It is Council policy to appoint at minimum salary scale point.
*Plus additional payments depending on working pattern, e.g., 10% shift allowance, enhanced rates for weekend working and overtime payment at 1.5/2 times hourly rate.
