Duty Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, organised and friendly individual to join our amazing 5-star team at Ballyfin Demesne.

This is a permanent position, working 5 days over 7 days, Monday to Sunday. The position includes weekend and shift work.

The main purpose of this role is to be the link between all departments of the hotel and ensure a smooth and consistent 5 star service is offered to all guests.

Main duties include (but are not limited to);

General Operations

• Ensure the smooth operations of the day-to-day functioning of the hotel
• To do walkarounds of the hotel and ensure that everyone and everything is as it should be.
• Assist with departments to ensure smooth service.
• Lead by example and actively encourage collaboration between departments & teams to ensure we remain efficient and maintain 5-star service
• Monitor procedures and make suggestions of improvement

Guest Experience

• Greet all guests with a professional welcome and smile
• Anticipate guests needs in order to enhance quality service and in turn, enhance client experience
• Ensure you are up to date on the daily functions to ensure you can answer any guest questions and queries

People Management & Training

• Communicate effectively with all team members, promoting good working relationships and creating a positive working environment and culture.
• Provide feedback to General Manager on staffing requirements - ensuring we are appropriately staffed to meet all operational and guest requirements
• Assist in creating, developing and updating SOP’s
• Maintain and build a close working relationship with all Heads of Departments and their teams
