E-Commerce Editor
ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:
The Bump is a leading digital resource for parents and parents-to-be as they navigate pregnancy and life with a little one. We create expert-backed, best-in-class content to inform, support and empower families in making countless decisions along their journey—including which products they’ll need in this transformative time of life. We’re seeking an E-Commerce Editor to join our ranks and help develop shoppable e-commerce articles that help guide readers on which products will best suit their specific needs throughout their TTC, pregnancy and parenting journeys. Reporting into the Associate Director of E-Commerce Content, the Editor will be responsible for researching, writing and editing weekly articles that are optimized for SEO and affiliate conversion..
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write assigned articles related to baby gear, registry, parenting products and other shopping-based content, optimized for SEO and affiliate conversion
- Perform extensive market and product research to identify products for testing and review; write in-depth instructions and scorecards for product testers
- Conduct expert interviews for research and editorial use
- Collaborate with Product Testing Coordinator to select product testers and QA testing feedback
- Coordinate with freelancers, communicating and enforcing deadlines; editing article drafts for content, voice, style, grammar and accuracy; and providing feedback on completed work
- Lead content support for major shopping events such as Mother’s Day, Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday; coordinate with crossfunctional stakeholders to execute strategy across promotion channels
- Collaborate with Rev Ops team on affiliate link generation process and reporting
- Support overall content strategy with reporting, including but not limited to keyword research, keyword position tracking and organic traffic analysis
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field
- 3-5 years experience in digital publishing; background in e-commerce or consumer products a plus; familiarity with prenatal and/or parenting issues a major plus
- Outstanding writing, editing and research skills
- Advanced understanding of SEO best practices and keyword strategy
- Ability to think strategically, work independently and collaborate crossfunctionally
- Track record as an excellent communicator with extreme attention to detail
This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs. Starting September 15, 2025, you’ll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
