Ourhighly successful ecology team are looking for an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)on a six month contract; to support one of our major projectsin the West of Ireland.Our Water andEnvironment group provides a focus for advising our clients on sustainabilityissues including renewable energy, low carbon economies, impacts of climatechange and waste and resource management. Our environmental capabilitiescomprise over a 2000 staff across Ireland and the UK, providing services overthe spectrum of environmental specialisms. That is why we are looking fortalented people to join our Irish Ecology team to continue our focus onbuilding relationships and exceeding our clients expectations. About the opportunity:

Asan Ecological Clerk of Works, you will be supported as part of the DublinEcology Team. Reaching back to the UK, our ecology team is currently over ahundred strong which means we have the technical ability as well as careermentoring to ensure your continued professional development while you work withus. At Jacobs we provide the resources to turn great ideas into reality, and weare looking for a talented and passionate environmental professional to be partof the delivery team on a flagship road scheme.

Start date is October 2020 andlength of contract is a minimum of six month but may be extended.

Qualifications

About you:

Essential:

+

Demonstrable ECoWexperience

  • An honours degreein ecology or related field

  • Ecology surveyexperience and a good field scientist

  • SafePass registered

  • Eligible for CIEEMmembership

  • Capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change atshort notice

  • Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills

  • Working knowledge of the relevant Irish and EU legislation

  • Strong IT skills

  • Ability to write clear, concise reports

  • You must be a good team player

  • Full and clean driving licence
