About the Role and the Team:

The EEC CVC Team Lead will be responsible for leading a group of teams who are targeted with delivering on our unifying purpose of helping sellers grow and scale their businesses both domestically and internationally.

The Commercial Team Leader will be obsessed with building teams who prize the experience of our key B2C sellers and come to work each day motivated by the impact we can have with our customers. This role will help shape the future landscape of the Commercial department by working with each team to constantly innovate & experiment to achieve outstanding customer support for our biggest and more valuable sellers. The successful candidate must manage complexity well, be proficient at analysing information while thoughtfully weighing options and solutions before implementing action plans to drive teammates, customer relations and process improvements. Personal and determination drive to achieve results is extremely important to the success of this role along with a high competency to be able to work within an extremely fast paced and dynamic environment.

The Commercial Team Lead will also have a lot of interaction and responsibility to support various Business Units, therefore the ability to build collaborative relationships across a large section of stakeholders will be critical in this role.

What you will accomplish:

  • Create a trusting and open team environment that encourages creative thinking and cohesive effort, while maintaining healthy group dynamics.
  • Monitor and report on team KPIs in relation to program plans or specific work streams.
  • Recognize and celebrate both team and individual accomplishments and exceptional performances.
  • Lead hiring and onboarding processes, provide coaching on eBay's processes and policies, and support team members' personal development and skills acquisition.
  • Initiate and lead new programs and pilots directed by Business Units to enhance seller growth and improve customer engagement in key B2C segments.
  • Provide upward feedback to the Business Units and GCX leadership teams on outreach activities, Balance of Business performance, and project progress.
  • Administer disciplinary actions as needed in alignment with HR policies, and proactively communicate any concerns or future demands to senior management.

What you will bring:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages like French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, or Spanish is preferred.
  • Natural relationship builder with a proven ability to manage, motivate, and build successful teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change with a positive attitude and a focus on overcoming challenges.
  • Commercially focused with a strong track record of surpassing targets and a keen ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with the capacity to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong time and project management skills, always seeking to improve inefficient processes with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient with PC-based systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce; 2 years of commercial experience in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
