EHS Manager

Description
McBreen Environmental Group Ltd is a specialist drainage service and waste management provider.
We are currently seeking to recruit an EHS Manager based in our Cavan Depot.
This is a great opportunity to influence and promote a more influential and safer environment across the organization.
Environmental Management responsibilities:
- Ensuring Environmental Management System and Quality Management System is maintained in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 45001 Standard, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Standard
- Liaising with statutory authorities such as the Local Authority and Irish Water to ensure that McBreen Environmental is always compliant with all relevant permits and licenses
- Responsible for managing the compliance and H&S of Breffni Organics through effective team management.
- Perform Quality, Environment and Health and Safety audits on site and at the Breffni Organics facility
Health & Safety responsibilities:
- Carrying out inspections and managing and carrying out a Proactive Compliance Monitoring Programme to ensure all legislation is adequate and of a high standard.
- Monitor and maintain effective up-to-date records in relation to Health, Safety and Compliance regularly.
- Assist or carry out accident investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to project managers.
- Work alongside all Intercompany Departments and influence best practice.
- Deal with any health & safety issues that may arise in an efficient and effective way with a professional attitude.
- Ensuring that on-the-job training records are kept up to date.
- To provide any advice to other staff/team members on relevant information when it may be required.
- Develop and deliver Safety & Environmental training for Induction as well as ongoing H&S training to drive change in culture & behavior within the business.
- Provide Safety input to site management & at site EHS forums.
- Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary Support and develop our Safety Ambassadors Team
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience within an EHS or H&S role.
- Strong communication, influential and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and respond to any actions that may be required.
- Ability to hold high standards and levels of confidentiality.
- Experience and understanding of management systems.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office
