Auto req ID: 251066BR Job Description PepsiCo is on the look-out for a EHS Specialist to join our team in Carrigaline, Cork on a specified purpose contract up to 15 months duration. We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. Primary Accountabilities: Support site Operations with EHS Technical guidance to ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements related to EHS and industry best practices Promote our culture where all colleagues report near miss/good catch conditions and following up on these reports. Collect data and track monthly performance of Environmental Compliance, Sustainability and H&S Key Performance Indicators’. Support site COMAH compliance as well as support/lead Emergency Response measures required onsite. Carry out Accident and Incident Investigation and implement on corrective actions. Co –ordinate Risk Assessments and maintain a Risk register for the Carrigaline site. Partner with key stakeholders, provide subject matter expertise (EH&S) across the functions. Support the maintenance of PepsiCo GEHSMS, ISO45001 and ISO14001 management systems. Co-ordinate Occupational Hygiene/Health Monitoring Programme. Facilitate external audits, follow up actions through to completion including sharing results, key findings etc. Conduct internal audits for PepsiCo GEHSMS compliance. Support / co-ordinate Process Safety (MESS, ATEX, CE) reviews. Influence and drive EHS culture development across all functions on site. Co-ordination of EHS training including scheduling and delivery of internal training programmes as well as facilitation of external training programmes, competency assessments and environmental management training. Develop annual training needs analysis related to PepsiCo GEHEMS standards. Lead and/or take part in EH&S projects where applicable Adhere to all environmental, health and safety Requirements on site. Qualifications/Requirements Essential Skills: Chemical Science or Environmental Science Degree or related subject with H+S qualification/EHS experience in similar Industry is required. Technically strong with an understanding of a variety of EHS topics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and influence employees throughout the organization. Excellent attention to detail. PC literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. Must be a team player with proven interpersonal skills. High energy, strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to lead by example. Results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives. Ability to lead and develop individuals and team.
