eLearning Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY
Jigsaw is hiring an eLearning Administrator on a part-time, fixed term 2-year basis. This contract is being offered on a shorter working year basis. Time worked will be in line with the post-primary school academic year and will be 35 working weeks out of 52 per annum. The eLearning Administrator will work 4 days per week (i.e. 30hrs per week), however the hours can be negotiated as there will be some evening work required to support webinar and online training delivery. Salary is in line with the below salary range and has been pro-rata'd to reflect the part-time nature of the role.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Mental Health Promotion eLearning Team in Jigsaw, reporting to the eLearning Lead. They will play a key role in assisting with the implementation of the remaining 2 years of Neart - Jigsaw’s 3-year programme of workto provide wellbeing and mental health supports for post-primary schools, in partnership with the National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS)/ Department of Education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of Jigsaw’s Learning Management System, LearnUpon, and provide support to users across this system’s various portals. Additionally, they will be responsible for general administration and management and reporting of all data relating to the implementation of the Neart programme. The post holder will be reliable, highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach to the work and be open and willing to contributing to the wider objectives of the organisation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support and administration to users of the eLearning platform.
- Manage the day-to-day eLearning and online content, including the upload / assembly of online components of programmes, testing, launch and ongoing maintenance.
- Support a range of activities across the online learner journey e.g. tech support, responding to queries, updating learner information.
- Monitor the eLearning email mailbox (elearning@jigsaw.ie) and assign inward communications as appropriate.
- Implement and manage the day-to-day communication systems with learners and users.
- Monitor the engagement and participation of schools in Jigsaw’s programme of work nationally, collated within the learning management system and other relevant systems.
- Participate in cross-functional eLearning and digital education projects across the organisation.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Jigsaw Neart Schools Team in the development and implementation of Jigsaw’s programme of wellbeing and mental health supports for post-primary schools.
- Carry out any other such duties as may reasonably be requested, in fulfilment of Jigsaw’s vision, mission and strategic priorities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential Criteria:
- At a minimum, a relevant QQI Level 5 (or above) qualification (e.g. Business & Office Administration or similar) or a relevant 3rd level qualification in an area related to eLearning administration
- Experience of providing technical and practical support to learners/users on learning management systems
- Experience with data systems e.g. learning management systems, CRM systems
- Strong IT Skills e.g. Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Ability to respond helpfully, warmly and empathically to learners’ technical issues
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess the skills to effectively work within cross functional teams in a collaborative environment
- Excellent writing skills and outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and work with flexibility, initiative, creativity and imagination
- Capacity to work both on own initiative and as part of a Team
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and targets.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of website content management e.g. Wordpress
- Understanding of the issues which impact on the mental health of young people and an understanding of mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention strategies
- Passion for supporting young people’s mental health and achieving change in Irish society
- High tolerance for complexity and change and an ability to flourish and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Factors taken into account in determining an appropriate scale include the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the job.
The pro-rata'd salary range for this role will be €14,735 to €22,659
