Electrical Hydraulic Engineer

Yep those trolleys and shelving are ours. Just got back from your holidays? Those vending and luggage trolley systems are ours. If gardening is your thing, then you will have come across us in B&Q. Wear glasses? Then you will have seen our display units in Specsavers. The teams collecting trolleys in Ikea or Tesco, they work with us. We have a customer list to die for but we want to do more, we want to grow, to innovate, to push into new markets.

Wanzl are big. We were founded in Germany by the Wanzl family and they still own the business. Turning over nearly €900m with 4500 people across the globe, we are market leaders. In the UK & Ireland, we now turnover circa £121m with over 750 people on the team.

As an Engineer you will :-

  • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic equipment at various retail locations within the Northern Ireland area
  • Work alone from a purpose-kitted service vehicle repairing a variety of equipment from the rear of the vehicle
  • Liaise with the Service Office by phone & email using mobile phone apps

Specific Requirements for this role :-

  • Live locally & have a full driving license
  • Have good electrical and mechanical fault finding ability and experience of 230V & 415V electrical systems & hydraulics
  • Have a heavy engineering background including knowledge of Dock Levellers, Scissor Lifts, Cardboard balers & Industrial Compactors
  • Be punctual & reliable
  • Be customer focused

The rate for this role is £14.00 GBP per hour however this could be converted should the applicant live in the Republic of Ireland.
