HSE Mid West

The newly established HSE Mid West Health Region will manage and deliver all public health and social care services for Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary serving a population of over 400,000 people. The redesign of services will allow new pathways to be developed between acute hospitals, community services, primary care, health and wellbeing and voluntary sectors to develop more integrated, patient-centred care. HSE Mid-West includes all hospital, community healthcare and public health services in the region. This includes:

· University Hospital Limerick

· University Maternity Hospital Limerick

· Ennis Hospital

· Nenagh Hospital

· Croom Hospital

· St John’s Hospital (voluntary)

· Older Persons Services

Purpose of the Post

Working with the General Manager, the post holder will be responsible to manage and develop the Employee Relations Team to guide and advise in areas of Human Resource Management, staff development and driving forward organisational change within HSE Mid-West.

The post holder will take a lead role in the management and delivery of Employee Relations functions and will provide HR expertise, support and advice to staff and managers. They will promote and foster positive Industrial Relations/Employee Relations in relation to their area of responsibility, encompassing both managerial and administrative responsibilities. The post holder will also have direct reporting relationships within the HR Department as assigned.

The post holder will be required to advise employees on best practice processes in HR-related issues in line with HSE HR policies, protocols and procedures and keep abreast of changes in employment legislation.
