We are seeking an optimistic and enthusiastic Employee Relations Manager who is proactive in developing a positive working environment and compliance culture. This role handles employee relations management, compliance and employment law.
What you'll do
As Employee Relations Manager you will act as an independent point in the following areas:
- Provide guidance to the HR Service Delivery team in management of risk for contentious employee relations matters in your remit including disciplinary matters.
- Review and advise on employee relations documentation.
- Support and advise HR Service Delivery in management of complex complaints, Grievances and Dignity at Work matters.
- Management of WRC claims and employment law legal matters for your remit.
- Preparation of evidence and witnesses in advance of WRC cases.
- Work with legal representatives on cases preparation for hearing.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to HR Managers on complex employee relations matters.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to Managers in Dublin Head Office on employee relations matters and support with the same.
- Employee Relations policy reviews and creation.
- Delivery of HR LM training in Dublin Head Office.
- Delivery of bespoke employee relations training to regions where required.
- Employment law advice and guidance in relation to projects where required.
- Management of projects where required.
You will also act as a HR compliance consultant in the following HR compliance areas:
- Providing independent, unbiased and non-judgemental information and support on HR compliance queries
- Be a trusted point of contact for HR compliance queries by proactively building relationships with other departments and INT Compliance Team.
- Support and guidance to regional HR Managers on HR compliance matters.
- Monitoring and analysing the relevant legislation and case law.
- Systematic analysis of existing or potential HR compliance risks.
- Development of measures to eliminate or reduce HR compliance risks in cooperation with specialist departments.
- Coordinating and supporting the specialist departments in the introduction of HR compliance controls and HR compliance measures.
- Monitoring and improvement of the CMS program HR compliance e.g. through the CMS reviews HR.
- Development, organisation and implementation of training and awareness-raising measures.
- Communication with courts, authorities and external legal representatives.
- Fulfilment of information and reporting obligations in accordance with international requirements.
- Involvement of relevant stakeholders when identifying further legal risks and legal issues beyond your own area of responsibility.
What you'll need
- In-depth knowledge of Employee Relations processes, HR compliance regulations and employment law.
- Experience in the (further) development and implementation of (HR) compliance strategies as well as in the implementation of (HR) compliance guidelines and risk-minimizing measures.
- Ability to analyse relevant HR compliance and employee relations risks and minimise them through preventive strategies.
- Basic understanding of further legal risks beyond your own area of responsibility.
- 3+ years’ experience in Employee Relations or HR Compliance.
- Optimistic, enthusiastic and proactive in developing a positive working environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills; empathetic, ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in mediation is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – verbal and written.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong track record in conflict resolution techniques.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of employment legislation.
- German is an advantage.
- Full driving license is essential.
