Employment Adviser

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the client journey, planning and executing interventions, supporting move clients back into or closer to employment
  • Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed targets, KPIs and success indicators that are set and agreed
  • Manage a caseload of clients, reviewing their progress towards employment and maintaining engagement in order to achieve personal and team targets.
  • Manage the customer journey undertaking induction, assessment and Personal Progression Plan activities with clients, identify clients’ needs and signpost to 3rd party provision where appropriate.
  • Source and manage working relationships with 3rd party providers, complementary provision and employers.
  • Deliver employability interventions on a one to one or group basis including workshop sessions.
  • Liaise with both clients and employers to identify any in-employment support required.
  • Co-ordinate training, resources and support to enable customers to achieve their aims.
  • Record all contact with clients through Seetec’s database (Provider Enterprise) and ensure 100% compliant use of Seetec’s systems and tools to support own caseload management and employment opportunities for customers including dashboard and CRM)
  • Support in the process of evaluating the experience of individuals and employers on completing or leaving a programme. Identify success stories, collecting information to use in promotional material.
  • Communicate effectively with clients who have different needs. e.g. learning difficulties, mental health problems, ex-offenders
  • Ensure a professional and positive working relationship with internal and external customers and continually strive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Such other duties and responsibilities as may be determined from time to time.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Leaving Certificate standard (as a minimum). A third level degree is desirable but not a pre-requisite
  • Experience of working in a target orientated environment with a demonstrable track record of achieving and beating targets.
  • Good knowledge of the local labour market
  • Competent IT user – Office applications and databases / CRM systems
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues relating to the needs of the individual but demonstrate assertion to enable change.
  • Demonstrate a genuine commitment to the personal and occupational success of clients by building self-confidence and motivation to help them achieve their aspirations.
  • Have the creativity and drive to find new ways of doing things when facing setbacks
  • Self-motivated and can work proactively independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations as and when required, responsive to the needs of the contract delivering positive outcomes to clients.
