Endoscopy Operative, University Hospital

The appointee will work as part of a team who decontaminate and sterilise instrument sets and flexible scopes for all areas in the South West Surgical Hub CUH or the wider CUH campus.

They will be required to:

• Undertake decontamination duties and assist, as appropriate, in providing specialised decontamination of medical devices including surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes, contributing to the clinical care of the patient.

• Carry out the receipt, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, reassembly, packing and disinfection and or sterilization of reusable medical devices and other supporting duties.

• Work in accordance with the department’s Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems.
