Endpoint & Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an Endpoint & Cloud Engineer to join our IT function and play a critical role in securing our modern workplace and cloud platforms.

This is a hands‑on engineering role, focused on Intune, identity, Microsoft 365 security and Azure security controls, working closely with IT delivery teams and Information Security.

You will be part of the team that ensures devices, identities and cloud services are secure, compliant and operational at scale, without slowing down business delivery.

What you’ll be doing

Endpoint Security & Intune

• Administer and operate Microsoft Intune across corporate and BYOD devices
• Manage device enrolment, configuration profiles, compliance policies and security baselines
• Integrate and operate endpoint protection tooling in collaboration with our Information Security team
• Monitor device health and compliance, investigate issues and drive remediation
• Help transition stable endpoint processes into Helpdesk BAU where appropriate

Identity & Access (Microsoft Entra)

• Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) with a focus on Conditional Access, MFA and identity protection
• Support Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and access reviews
• Implement and maintain secure SSO for SaaS applications (SAML / OIDC / SCIM)
• Work within Zero Trust principles defined by Information Security

Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance (Operational)

• Operate Microsoft 365 security controls that support business delivery, including:
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Sensitivity labels and secure collaboration controls
• Partner with Information Security on implementation, not policy ownership

Cloud Security Engineering (Azure)

• Support secure configuration of Azure workloads used by platforms and applications
• Implement security controls such as RBAC, private endpoints and Defender for Cloud
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and secure build standards
• Work with platform and application teams to embed security early

Vulnerability Remediation & BAU Security Engineering

• Execute remediation activities arising from endpoint, identity and cloud security findings
• Track work transparently through tickets or boards
• Contribute to incident investigation and recovery when required
• Produce clear documentation and runbooks

What this role does not cover

• Vulnerability Identification or Penetration testing
• Network firewall or WAF ownership
• General desktop support or break‑fix
• Security policy or governance ownership

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune
• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Solid understanding of endpoint security and vulnerability remediation
• Experience operating security controls within Microsoft 365
• Working knowledge of Azure security fundamentals
• Comfortable working in a large, complex enterprise environment
• Able to document work clearly and support operational handover

Desirable

• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Experience working alongside InfoSec or GRC teams
• Exposure to industry leading Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) Defender, CrowdStrike or similar tools
• Microsoft power platform estate exposure
• Retail, multi‑site or large endpoint estate experience
